SCAL 3 Video for eCraft users–November

Hi everybody!  I know I am very late on posting this video.  I have been dealing with a computer issue for the past few days…AARGGHH!  Hate it when that happens LOL!

 

Today’s video is one that I have been wanting to bring to all of you for awhile now and I finally took the time to figure it all out for you.  Today we are going to be using Sure Cuts A Lot 3 to do a Print & Cut with the eCraft.

October Sure Cuts A Lot 3 Video

Happy October fellow crafters! I don't know about all of you, but October is the very start of my heavy crafting season! Between Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course Christmas, I am going to be one busy crafter and I LOVE it!

Today's SCAL video is all about making shaped cards. You have seen me do this in Make the Cut a few times, and today I show you how to do it in SCAL. Hope you all have a great day...oh and don't forget it is World Cardmaking Day today so crank out some cards!

September SCAL Video

So sorry on the long delay in getting this video out.  I am still trying to recover from this virus!  This video comes at a request of Leanna on how to do welding in Sure Cuts A Lot 3.  There actually are two different ways to weld and in this video I demonstrate both of them.

You Asked For It!

In the recent giveaway I did, I got several requests for more videos about SCAL 3.  I really don't know SCAL 3 as well as I do MTC, but I am going to give it my all so that all eCrafters out there can effectively use the software of their choice.  So, here is my plan...hopefully I can stick to it!

Every month on the 1st, I will have a video for you using SCAL 3.  On the 10th of the month, I will have a video for you using Make the Cut and on the 20th of the month, I will have a video using eCraftshop Pro.  There may be more videos in there, but I am going to do my best to get these three done every single month.  I am also going to do one other feature and that is another request that I heard and that will be "Ask Denise".  I will be publishing this feature on an as needed basis.  Send me an e-mail at Denise@PurplePaperParadise.com and ask your question and I promise that all questions will be answered.  I may do more than one of these a month depending on how many questions I get.

The Last Birthday Card

This final birthday card is for a sweet 1 year old girl named Angela who is the daughter of some friends of ours.  I decided to use the Lettering Delights Let's Play SVG set.

This is the first project that I did using SCAL 3 for the eCraft and I was impressed for the most part.  But more on that soon.  The doily is from Wilton, purchased in the Cake decorating section from Joann's.  The blue color is from Stampin Up and the patterned paper is from PTI Color Couture digital download.  The rest of the cardstock are from Core'dinations.

SCAL 3 Orientation for the eCraft

Hi everybody!

We are taking a break from the birthday cards this week for a video on the new SCAL 3.  Here are few things that you need to know about SCAL 3.

• SCAL 3 does NOT support the Cricut cutting machines
• SCAL 3 will not erase SCAL 2 so you can have both versions on your computer
• If you have already purchased SCAL 2, the SCAL 3 is available to you for FREE!
• SCAL 3 supports many die cutters including the eCraft.

Here is a video that I did showing how the orientation of the virtual mat in SCAL 3 compares to what comes out of the eCraft.



Also, I have had a few people ask me which program I would recommend.  At this time, I am not going to make a recommendation because we do not have a stable version of the plug in for Make the Cut.  Once that is available, I will be doing a full review of both programs.  Hopefully this will happen sooner than later, but I feel that it would be comparing apples to oranges since one is stable while the other is still in beta.

Super Cute Easter Monster

I was thrilled to see the Easter Beastie Bag SVG set from Lettering Delights.  I just love the Animal Boxes and Bags set, so this was right up my alley.  We always go out to eat on Easter and I try to make a little something for the kids to have at the restaurant because with a party our size (somewhere around 15) the meal always takes a LONG time.  The more we have with us to entertain the kids with the better!  These are for my two boys and also my niece and nephew.

All of these were cut out with my eCraft using the new SCAL 3.  I will be doing a complete review of SCAL 3 here soon, so stay tuned for that.  Since I am more of an MTC girl, I feel like I have to take a little extra time with SCAL 3 to get more comfortable with it and I want to be as impartial as possible.  Once the stable version of the eCraft plug in for MTC is available, I will do a complete review of that as well and then will also do a comparison review of the two programs all for the eCraft owner.
