I just realized that I never shared this picture with all of you. This is the Christmas card that I made for 2010, and I just adore it! I got so many compliments on it!
The frog image is from Dustin Pike and I printed him out and colored him with my Copics. The blue for the snowglobe was done with Airbrushing. For the snow, I used some white Liquid Applique. This is a Joy Fold card so on the inside are pictures of my kiddos and a little message from our family. The snowflakes were cut using Spellbinders and American Crafts glitter paper (love it!). The patterned papers are from the Color Couture line at Papertrey Ink and the cardstock is also PTI color Berry Sorbet.
I hope everybody has a great Friday!

Looking for some feedback...
Before I ask all of you for some feedback on something...I have to point out that we are only 8 followers away from 100, and that means only 8 followers away from the giveaway! I would love to be able to draw the winner on Black Friday! Wouldn't that be fun? So if you have not signed up to be follower or have not left a comment on the Giveaway post, please do so! I have added some extra goodies to the prize as well!
Now on to business....if you have been following me for awhile, then you may have seen THIS post in which I used a Dustin Pike digital stamp on a hybrid scrapbooking layout. I have been a fan of Dustin's work for quite awhile now. You can see more of his work on his blog or at his website Doodle Dragon Studios. I love how he adds humor into some of his images, it really makes his work unique. Whenever I have made card with one of his digital stamps, I always get amazing reactions from the recipients. Especially kids! Last year, at Christmas I made little mini coloring books with his images for Jared's preschool classmates, and everyone just loved them. One of the mom's even called me to ask where I got them because she said her son was so upset when he ran out of things to color!
Anyways, Dustin is considering designing an SD card for the eCraft! If he is going to do this, he wants to do it right, so he is asking for feedback from eCrafters on what types of images we would like to see on a Dustin Pike SD card. I personally love all of his seasonal images, but then again I love all the Dudley Dragon images too, and the monkeys, there are just so many to choose from. So here is our opportunity to help him deliver an SD card that we would not only want to have in our arsenal, but would use over and over again. So please leave a comment on this post letting me know what you would like to see or you could also send me an e-mail at Denise@PurplePaperParadise.com. I will make sure that Dustin gets all of your feedback!

An Improved Hybrid Layout
I am getting there! I definitely like this layout better than the one that I posted previously. By doing these layouts as I learn, it is also forcing me to catch up on my scrapbooking. This layout is for Jared's first Christmas and he is entering Kindergarten in less than two weeks so that tells you how far behind I am. When he was born, I gave up my scrap room for the nursery so every time I thought about working on my scrapbook, I would have to drag everything out to the kitchen table. Just thinking about that makes me tired! So needless to say, I did not do a lot of scrapbooking, I would do more cards. I now use a room that was once a home office. Since we got laptops, we decided that we really didn't need a dedicated home office so now it is my scrap room. Enough rambling, back to the layout!
With this layout, I was working on getting more familiar with layers and also with shadows. This is getting some more definition in the layout that was lacking in my last attempt. I am definitely making headway. I will be working on putting some video tutorials on how to use layers and shadows as well as several other things that I am getting the hang of. On this layout I used digital papers from Lettering Delights from the Elf Dance and Reindeer Dance paper packs. The font for the title is also from Lettering Delights and is called Kris Kringle. The Santa Claus image is a digital stamp from Doodle Dragon Studios (aka Dustin Pike). I love his work! The ribbon was from Michael's and the button is Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy buttons.
Thanks for stopping by!
