Did you miss seeing the eCraft on HSN?

Well if you did, you can still see it through the beauty of You Tube.  This was the final showing of the day and you will see some of those projects that I made in the video.

Also, the special price and the flex pays are STILL available!!  The only thing that has changed from what I can see is the Shipping & Handling increased to $15.25 which is still a fair price.  You can order it HERE.

Hi Denise,

I have an eCraft vinyl question for you. I bought the eCraft so that I could use it to cut vinyl lettering. That is the only reason I bought it although I know that it does a lot of other things as well. I purchased some vinyl as well as some transfer paper. I was told that using transfer paper makes it easier to transfer the cut vinyl to the final document.

I have not been able to figure out how to cut the vinyl using the transfer paper. After 6 hours of watching YouTube videos and searching the net on how to cut vinyl on my eCraft I figured out how to cut some without the transfer paper. I used pressure setting 1 and it "kiss" cut it perfectly. However, although it was cut it was very hard to transfer it to the wooden blocks that I made it for.

Whenever I have purchased vinyl from people in the past it has 3 layers: The first layer is the sticky transfer paper, the second layer is the vinyl and the third layer is the paper that the vinyl came on (presumably).

When I tried to use the transfer paper on my eCraft I could not figure it out. The first time I took the transfer paper and removed the sticky part. Then I placed that on the top of the vinyl. Then I cut using a higher pressure setting, 3 to cut the vinyl It cut it fine but when I went to place the vinyl on the wooden blocks it would only do so letter by letter which proved to be a mess.

I thought maybe I was cutting it from the wrong side so I turned the paper over and cut it on the back of the vinyl sheet. I used a pressure setting of 4 that time to cut through the thicker material. It cut fine however, that was a mistake because then it was a mirror image of what I wanted.

I have gone through quite a bit of (very expensive) vinyl to get some very simple words done. And I still have not figured out the correct way to do this.

Do you use your eCraft to cut vinyl for vinyl lettering (and designs eventually) with transfer paper? I would really appreciate any help you could give me. (I also posted this on the message board at CraftwellUSA.com which I know you are a part of.)

Thanks!

Alli
