Glass Etching

I decided to make some glass address blocks and I always love the look of etched glass, so I had to incorporate it in this project.  I used a font from Lettering Delights called LD Twylight.  I am not sure where the flourish in the corners came from.  I cut all of this out in vinyl and applied it to the glass blocks that I purchased from Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago when they were on sale.  I next applied glass etching cream all over the front of the block.  I actually did two coats of the glass etching to get the etching to be more consistent.  I then applied some outdoor black vinyl to the back of the block so when the light is in place, all the light will shine through the front of the block.  Unfortunately it is really hard to get a nice picture of this, it looks so much nicer in person.  Now that this is done, my DH is on the hunt to find a good lighting source for these!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by tomorrow, I have a really neat project that I have been working on for a few days using some new stamps from Taylored Expressions that I got at CHA!

Be sure to sign up for the GIVEAWAY!
