Put Your Brave Girl Boots On!

We all tend to have times in our lives when we need a little bravery.  I am hoping that today’s card will encourage a friend of mine to be brave.

This card also gave me a wonderful opportunity to cut some fabrics.  Normally when we talk about cutting fabrics, we think of cotton weight fabric.  Today, I experimented with a thicker piece of fabric…denim.  The denim cut just beautifully with my eBosser.

The denim (taken from an old pair of jeans) was cut using a chevron die from Papertrey Ink.  I also cut a piece of kraft cardstock with a PTI Half and Half die that is impressed with the PTI Woodgrain plate.  I also die cut a Spellbinders die as the perfect spot for my Unity Stamps. Add all of it onto a piece of My Mind’s Eye paper that has been distressed and the card has just the right amount of texture.

Have a great week everyone and be sure to stop by to see what Celeste, Kim, Caroline and Debi have in store for you!

A Grateful Heart

Happy Monday everyone!  So I just love the sentiment on my card and thought that it is a good message for all of us especially on a Monday!

Originally as I was putting this card together, I of course thought that I needed to add a heart to the card.  While I was playing around with it, I realized that the heart just did not work with everything else that I was so inspired by.  So I decided to lose it, and I am happy with the end result.

I started by using my eBosser and the Hexagon Cover Plate die from Papertrey Ink to create that diamond background which was overlaid on a piece of paper from Echo Park Happy Days Collection.  Then I die cut a Mat Stack 3 (also from PTI) in a lighter shade of green which I stamped my sentiment on the lower part.  The red and pink elements are from the Lovely Layers collections (dies and stamps) and they are topped with a pearlescent pink button.

Hope that these bright and vibrant colors brighten up your Monday!

It’s Valentines Week!

It’s Valentines Week here on the Craftwell Design Team blog, which means that each of us will be creating something with Valentine’s Day in mind.  To kick off the week, I decided to show you all a really cool technique that is super easy to do with the eBosser….so that means I have an all-new eBosser video to share!  But first, my project…

So when you see this picture, you may not understand how I used the eBosser.  If you look carefully, you will see that the only paper that I used was the card base.  Everything else is ink.  So how did I use the eBosser?

Several stamp companies now make coordinating dies to go with their stamps and these are great!  I used them in a completely different way though because I used those dies to make fun foam stamps with my eBosser.  Want to know how I did it? Well watch my video to find out!

Be sure to stop by every day this week as all the girls have been crafting up lots of love!

Are you Ready for Valentine’s Day?

It is now February which means that it is time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day.  I decided to go a little old school with my project today.

It all started with the stamps from Unity Stamps Kit of the Month (May 2012).  I first stamped the paper onto the patterned paper from Echo Park’s Everyday Eclectic collection.  I then also stamped the same image onto the beige paper and the Berry Sorbet cardstock from Papertrey Ink.  I did some old school paper piecing with the three papers.  To add a little bit of texture, I embossed the beige layer with this herringbone folder from Lifestyle Crafts in my eBosser.  I then added the retro camera paper also from Echo Park’s Everyday Eclectic and topped it with a chevron die cut from my Chevron border dies from Papertrey Ink.  A little bit of washi tape from Target added across the top adds that finishing touch.

What are you planning on for your Valentines this year?  Please share!  I have yet to do the Valentines for my kids to hand out this year and could use the inspiration!
